After she retired from her office job, Martha Cole realized she suddenly had a lot more time to make a difference in the world around her. So she rolled up her sleeves and learned how to build houses through Habitat for Humanity. It’s a passion that has consumed her free time for more than 20 years, and it’s why, at the age of 76, you can find her most days nailing down shingles to roofs under the sweltering Florida sun.
