IDEAS Hive: Stories for Our Green Future
August 3, 2022 at 6:45 pm - 8:30 PMat 6:45 PM.
Becoming better storytellers is a critical skill for everyone working for a green future. In this think-and-do workshop, participants will be introduced to the growing movement amongst environmental groups to embrace positive storytelling. Leaders from IDEAS for Us will share some of the techniques anyone can use to become better storytellers and then we’ll break out into small groups to let our positive imaginations run wild.
“It’s all a question of story. We are in trouble just now because we do not have a good story. We are in between stories. The Old Story is not functioning properly, and we have not learned the New Story.” Thomas Berry
Program Notes: Learning, engaging, and finding solutions. The monthly IDEAS Hive meetings allow experts from several different topics to educate you on environmental issues before inviting you to produce your own local solutions.
Cancelling Your Reservation: If you are unable to attend a program, cancelling your reservation gives us an accurate count of how many to expect; for sold-out programs, cancelling your reservation also allows someone on the waitlist to attend in your place. Cancelling can be done in two simple ways: by calling 407.644.2492 and selecting Option 1, then Option 3 to speak to a representative or by using the online ticket cancellation option in your original confirmation email from Eventbrite.
This program is presented by Joe Tankersley and hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation in collaboration with IDEAS For Us.
