Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise that aims to strengthen muscles while improving postural alignment and flexibility. In this program, you’ll join Crosby Wellness Center’s certified Pilates Instructor Adriana to learn basic movements used in a common Pilates practice. You’ll engage in exercises that mobilize and warm-up the spine and neck, then stretch and condition the muscles of the core.

Special Instructions: Program participants must be able to lower to the floor. Please be prepared for this program with a yoga mat or firm and comfortable surface, a strap or belt and four small towels.

About Adriana Pontual
Adriana Duarte Pontual is a credentialed Pilates teacher/instructor, as recognized by the National Pilates Certification Program and the Pilates Method Alliance. She is a renowned soloist ballet dancer from Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro and won the 1993 Prix de Lausanne an international ballet competition.
