Facebook – Beyond the Basics (Webinar)March 11, 2021 at 1:00 pm - 2:00 PM
Date & Time
People use Facebook as a social media hub to connect with friends or family no matter where they are. But, the revolutionary social media network platform regularly rolls out new features that can be confusing to even the most tech-savvy user.
Whether you need a refresher on using Facebook or want to learn about its more advanced features, AARP National Trainer Bob Busch will teach you about new Facebook features like the recently updated Friends’ List; what is the difference between the Facebook Timeline versus Facebook Newsfeed; how to properly post including using your privacy settings to do so; what the “Like” versus “Follow” features mean and more on Facebook etiquette. This session is designed to build on your basic working knowledge of Facebook, as the focus in this program is highlighting various optional settings.
Special Instructions: Participants need a Facebook account and basic working knowledge of Facebook functions. Participants are also encouraged to have access to a second device, like a phone, computer or tablet, so they can “test drive” as they learn from their primary device.
This program is presented by Bob Busch and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation in partnership with AARP.
