There are many health reasons to incorporate meatless meals in your weekly meal plan. Not only are plant-based foods typically less expensive, they can pack various health benefits into your diet, reducing your risk of heart disease and certain cancers, improving your kidney functions and lowering blood sugar levels. In this program, Chef Collette Haw of Nourish Coffee Bar + Kitchen will demonstrate three dishes that will have you saying “meat, who?” She’s a firm believer that healthy meals and delicious food are not mutually exclusive, and in this program, you’ll learn three dishes sure to become a part of your weekly rotation, including Farro Salad, Lentil Stew, and Mushroom and Sweet Potato Shepherd’s Pie. Gone are the days of cardboard-tasting “healthy” foods. Plus, with Lent just around the corner, these dishes are perfect for Meatless Fridays (or any day of the week!).
This program is presented by Chef Collette Haw and hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation in collaboration with Nourish Coffee Bar + Kitchen.
