Saffron, paprika, oregano, rosemary…you might have used one or more of these spices at one point in time. After all, variety is the spice of life. But we often overlook the nutritional properties behind these minerals that make our food magical. Spices are chockful of healthy compounds, that can help us fight inflammation and other health issues. Join Chef Collette Haw of Nourish Coffee Bar + Kitchen at the Center for Health & Wellbeing in this virtual cooking demonstration to learn more about the nutritional value behind spices, including which spices you can incorporate into your favorite foods or use to combat common ailments. Chef Haw will also demonstrate how to whip up two yummy recipes — Indian Butter Chicken and Cardamom Cookies — using several seasonings you, too, can add to your spice rack.

This program is presented by Chef Collette Haw and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.
