These vegetables offer a variety of flavors and can be prepared in many ways. Root vegetables are dense in essential nutrients and come with several benefits. \nThis is a demonstration-style cooking program\, so prepare to sit back\, relax and let our chef prepare the meal while you enjoy the delicious items. While attending this program\, participants will receive a booklet for the following recipes: Beet and Bean Burgers; Carrot Slaw with Cranberries\, Walnuts and Citrus Vinaigrette; and Root Veggie Fries with Dipping Sauce \nThis program is presented by Allison Harrell and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation. \nAbout Your Program Presenter \nAllison Harrell is a registered dietitian nutritionist and plant-based chef who has been passionate about food and nutrition for more than 20 years. She advanced her knowledge by becoming a certified Culinary Medicine Specialist\, certified in Weight Loss Management.
