SUMMARY:Cooking with Collette: Mother's Day Lunch
DESCRIPTION:Join Chef Collette in the CHWB Nutrition Theatre where she will demonstrate how to make an amazing Mother’s Day Lunch.\n\n\nMother’s Day is a wonderful day to gather with family and loved ones to celebrate the maternal figures in your life. It can also be a day spent in crowded\, loud and expensive buffet lines. This year\, focus on what matters most — spending quality time with the special women in your life. \nIn this class\, Chef Collette\, a classically trained chef\, will share the perfect menu\, with many elements that can be made in advance\, for spending a day at home\, relaxing and eating well. Join Chef Collette in the CHWB Nutrition Theatre where she will demonstrate how to make (and you’ll sample) the following dishes: Crab Louise Salad; Strawberry Chicken Cobb; and Green Goddess Budha Bowl. \nCancelling Your Reservation: In order to receive a full refund\, participants must cancel their program registration at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled start of the program. Center for Health & Wellbeing’s Refund Policy \nThis program is presented by Collette Keller and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation. \nAbout the Presenter:    \nChef Collette Keller is a classically trained Culinary Institute of America graduate. With a passion for seasonal\, sustainable cooking\, Chef Collette approaches her cooking with a passion for blending comfort-food-gone-healthy and ‘food as medicine’ philosophies. Chef Collette spent several years operating her own successful meal delivery service out of Longwood—Collette’s Clean Eats—and as a private chef to a celebrity family in Atlanta before launching Nourish Coffee Bar + Kitchen at the Center for Health & Wellbeing. For its first three years in operation\, she created the café’s beloved seasonal menus. Collette is now focusing on nutritionally dense meals for postpartum mothers at The Hale Kitchen. As a new mom herself she found her calling in helping nourish mothers in their most vulnerable time of healing.

Under the careful guidance of some of Central Florida’s top art instructors\, you’ll enjoy the camaraderie of creating art alongside others\, creating a sense of community and a boost in your overall wellbeing. \nEach month\, we invite you to Exercise Your Creativity in our free-flowing creative “happy hours.” There are no rules and coloring outside the lines is encouraged! The Center for Health & Wellbeing will provide art supplies\, a facilitator to introduce you to the tools of your crafts\, and a safe space to get creative. \nYour monthly facilitators will suggest a simple and fun exercise to try that month\, but as always\, you’re also free to go your own way and just play. \nIn May\, learn how to create a mini collage of your favorite things. Led by teaching artists Liz Kitchens and Ann Goodpasture\, take home your own mini creative collages to show your friends and family. \nAttendance is free; advanced registrations are encouraged but drop-ins are welcome. This program is open to budding artists of all ages. \nA rotating roster of artists will facilitate this monthly series and it is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.

Next\, our Mainstage Productions provide a transition period for students ages 8-18 and pre-professional adults to emerge on stage alongside local professional artists. Our life cycle culminates with Opera del Sol\, offering innovative productions in unexpected places and challenging perceptions of who the operatic performer and audience members are and what defines the genre as a whole. \nThe first 100 attendees will receive a complimentary sourdough starter from Commons Co-Op Vendor\, C-M Bakari*. \n*While supplies last\, 1 per person.
