SUMMARY:Music for a Joyful Life
DESCRIPTION:This spring\, join Central Florida Vocal Arts as we explore the role music can play in creating a joyful life for everyone.\n\n\nJoin a teaching artist from Central Florida Vocal Arts as we explore the role that music can play in creating a joyful life for EVERYONE. No previous musical experience is needed. The five-part class meets weekly and will explore using our own voice\, embracing our unique musical gifts\, listening with intention and enhancing mental wellness through integrating music into daily activities. \nThis program is presented by Central Florida Vocal Arts and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation. \nAbout the Presenter: \nCentral Florida Vocal Arts is a non-profit music advocacy organization dedicated to providing the highest quality training to young artists\, while also providing performance opportunities to currently emerging artists of all ages. We are creating a continuing life cycle for the vocal arts in Central Florida through a three-step model. The first step\, Education and Training\, introduces young artists to the arts. Through our educational initiatives\, we develop students’ talent\, passion\, and confidence.  Next\, our Mainstage Productions provide a transition period for students ages 8-18 and pre-professional adults to emerge on stage alongside local professional artists.  Our life cycle culminates with Opera del Sol\, offering innovative productions in unexpected places and challenging perceptions of who the operatic performer and audience members are and what defines the genre as a whole.

SUMMARY:Laughter Yoga
DESCRIPTION:Laughter Yoga is a unique & gentle form of exercise in which we combine breathing techniques from yoga with laughter exercises.\n\n\nLaughter Yoga is a unique & gentle form of exercise in which we combine breathing techniques from yoga with laughter exercises. It can be practiced standing or sitting in a chair by EVERY body\, regardless of age or fitness level. If you can breathe\, you can do Laughter Yoga! Laughter Yoga has been scientifically proven to: release stress; boost the immune system; exercise your heart & lungs; elevate mood; improve circulation; reduce symptoms of arthritis\, asthma\, allergies & pain; and foster feelings of kindness\, joy\, forgiveness & love. Laughter truly is the best medicine! \nSpecial Note: No yoga mat is needed\, and this program is open to attendees of all ages! Laughter Yoga can be practiced standing or sitting\, regardless of fitness level. If you can laugh\, you can do Laughter Yoga.
