DESCRIPTION:Join us in person for “Walking for Wellbeing” on Tuesday\, May 10 at 11 AM in the Community Conference Center.\n\n\nPhysical exercise doesn’t need to be complicated. Did you know that a 15-minute walk can improve your wellbeing? In fact\, you can make huge strides in your Physical\, Intellectual\, and Social Wellbeing just by lacing up your sneakers and pounding the pavement. \nWhether you choose to stroll\, shuffle\, or sashay your way down the street\, you can benefit from this simple form of exercise. Join Sara Wright\, CHWB’s Wellbeing Guide and personal trainer at the Crosby Wellness Center\, as she discusses how to set the pace for a successful walking routine. March away with tips and strategies that you can immediately implement in your everyday fitness routine. \nBy participating in this session\, you can expect to: \n\ndiscover how the activity of walking can help improve overall wellbeing.\nlearn the benefits of walking\, recommended weekly amount of exercise and how to develop a plan that suits your needs.\nlearn specific exercises designed to improve your walking ability.\n\nThis program is presented by Sara Wright and hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation. \nCancelling Your Reservation: If you are unable to attend a program\, cancelling your reservation gives us an accurate count of how many to expect; for sold-out programs\, cancelling your reservation also allows someone on the waitlist to attend in your place. Canceling your reservation for this program is especially important as most of our programs have limited capacities. Cancelling can be done in two easy ways: by calling 407.644.2492 and selecting Option 1\, then Option 3 to speak to a representative or by using the online ticket cancellation option in your original confirmation email from Eventbrite. \nBy participating in this program\, you agree to CHWB’s Gracious Space policy. \n About the Program Presenter  \nSara Wright is the wellbeing guide at the Center for Health & Wellbeing (CHWB). She is also a personal trainer with the Peggy & Philip B. Crosby Wellness Center at CHWB. Wright joined the Winter Park Health Foundation\, owner of the Crosby Wellness Center and co-owner and primary developer of the CHWB\, in March 2019. As the wellbeing guide\, she works directly with community members providing wellbeing coaching and consultation. Wright makes suggestions\, provides educational resources\, and links each person to programs and services suited to attain health and wellbeing goals safely and smartly. She also creates an individualized plan and provides motivational support as each community member works to achieve success along their personal wellbeing journey. Wright has more than 20 years of professional experience\, including the following areas of expertise: Social Services\, Health Education\, Community Relations\, Management\, Personal Training\, and Fitness Coaching. She earned a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and two bachelor’s degrees. She is passionate about helping others reach their goals and achieve self-empowerment.

DESCRIPTION:Join us in person for “Classical Music and Painting” on Tuesday\, May 10 at 1 PM in the Community Conference Center.\n\n\nClassical music has inspired some of the world’s most famous masterpieces. Now\, you yourself can be inspired in this workshop led by CFCArts Teaching Artist JJ Gonzalez Acosta. Acosta will guide you using your acrylics while listening to classical music\, letting the symphony of sounds influence your own masterpiece. Originally from Valencia\, Venezuela\, Acosta started his artistic journey in 1990\, when he was just 5 years old. He learned beautiful techniques from his mother and aunt\, both of whom are artists. Acosta went on to pursue a career in the Arts\, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Arts Education\, and a master’s degree in Business Management in Valencia\, Venezuela. He decided to pursue the American Dream\, arriving in the city of Orlando in 2017. He has since worked as an artist teaching different art techniques and origami to adults and children of all ages in order to promote their talents and help them discover their artist within.
