SUMMARY:Create a Classic Fresh Magnolia Wreath (In Person)
DESCRIPTION:Join us in person for Create a Classic Fresh Magnolia Wreath on Thursday\, December 9 at 11 AM.\n\n\nMagnolia wreaths are a Southern classic. In this workshop\, you’ll learn how to make a gorgeous and festive holiday wreath that you’ll enjoy for years to come\, or make the perfect handmade gift to give this holiday season. Join local floral expert Emily Bader as she shares the history of magnolia wreaths and guides you through the process of creating your own fresh wreath\, using leaves harvested directly from the trees surrounding the Center for Health & Wellbeing! Invite a friend or enjoy meeting new ones. Bader will also demonstrate how to make a bow to embellish your wreath\, as well as a hanger to display it. \nSpecial Note: Be sure to register early because this class is likely to fill up! Registration will close 72 hours (Dec. 6) before the program’s start date to provide Bader ample time to gather the materials for registered attendees. \nSpecial Instructions: All materials for the wreath will be supplied; attendees are asked to please bring their own clippers and wire cutters. \nThis program is presented by Emily Bader and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation. \nA note regarding COVID-19 safety protocols: At this time\, all guests at the Center for Health & Wellbeing are required to wear masks in all indoor spaces\, including during our education programs.  Presenters may remove their masks in order to be better heard by audience members. Attendees\, however\, must keep their masks fully in place (covering the nose and mouth) during the entire presentation. In accordance with CHWB guidelines\, our programs will also be limited in capacity and rooms set to account for social distancing. \nCancelling Your Reservation: If you are unable to attend a program\, cancelling your reservation gives us an accurate count of how many to expect; for sold-out programs\, cancelling your reservation also allows someone on the waitlist to attend in your place. Cancelling your reservation for this program is especially important as we are currently limiting capacities as part of our COVID-19 safety regulations. Cancelling can be done in two easy ways: by calling 407.644.2492 and selecting Option 1\, then Option 3 to speak to a representative or by using the online ticket cancellation option in your original confirmation email from Eventbrite. \nBy participating in this program\, you agree to CHWB’s Gracious Space policy. \nCenter for Health & Wellbeing’s Refund Policy>>> \nAbout the Program Presenter \nEmily Bader has been chairman and judge of flower shows since the mid-1980s. She was president of the Suburban Garden Club of Germantown\, TN\, and the Winter Park Garden Club\, and spearheaded a WPGC Civic Awareness project at Pulsifer Place. She is currently working with the City of Winter Park for planting an Edible Orchard on Cady Way and signage for all the trees in Central Park. \nIn Germantown\, TN\, Bader served as chair of the Beautification Commission for several years and was awarded a Four-Star individual Award from the state. She now enjoys serving on the Board of Winter Park in Bloom. Her goal is to enhance Winter Park to be an even nicer community than when she moved to town in 2011.
