Rising Strong in the Wake of COVID-19, a Book Club Discussion (Webinar)

June 1 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

- Free

A four-part virtual series. In these uncertain times, people are walking the tightrope of life. It is a delicate balance, isn’t it? The question is – what happens when people lose their balance and fall flat on their faces? This is where Brene Brown’s new book, Rising Strong, can be a valuable resource. Dr. Brown, a research professor and celebrated author of five #1 New York Times bestsellers, helps people answer a few of life’s big questions. How does one get up after a fall? How does one recover fully?
Dr. Brown asserts the only way to grow is to face our fall head on. There are no short cuts or quick answers. We must go through the process while being completely vulnerable with ourselves and others in order to heal. This process is about truth and resilience.

In this virtual Book Club led by Rev. Katrina Jenkins, the Dean of Religious Life at Rollins College in Winter Park, we will discuss the first four chapters of Rising Strong, covering one chapter per week. You’ll learn how to find balance during this time of uncertainty and discuss the process of being completely vulnerable with ourselves and others while exploring your spirituality in a safe, open space.

Rising Strong is available for Kindle and in audiobook, hardcover and paperback through Amazon here. >>>

And through Barnes and Noble here. >>>
