Kombucha, fermented tea that has been consumed for thousands of years, not only has the same health benefits as tea, but it’s also rich in beneficial probiotics. Local “booch maker” Steve Brandon will show you how to craft your own probiotic-rich kombucha. He will explain equipment needed and show how to make this lightly fizzy, anti-microbial drink that fans credit with health benefits like boosting immunity, aiding in digestion, and facilitating detoxification and heart health. Each participant will take home a SCOBY (symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast) to start their first batch.
