As part if its on-going commitment to change the culture of aging, Growing Bolder presents a regular series of inspiring, thought-provoking, and potentially life-changing opportunities to learn from and engage with some of the world’s top positive aging thought leaders. Lives Well Lived is an award-winning documentary from photographer and filmmaker Sky Bergman that celebrates the incredible wit, wisdom and experiences of people aged 75 to 100 years old. Through their intimate memories and inspiring personal histories encompassing over 3000 years of experience, forty people share their insights on living a meaningful life. These men and women open the vault on their journey into old age through family histories, personal triumph and tragedies, loves and losses – seeing the best and worst of humanity along the way. Their stories will make you laugh, perhaps cry, but mostly inspire you.
Lives Well Lived has now screened in over 150 cities. Beginning with the Premiere at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, the film has won eight awards, and the theatrical run garnered enthusiastic reviews and a 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Lives Well Lived is screening at community and educational institutions around the country sponsored by organizations such as Aging 2.0, AARP, and Leading Age. A screening at the state capital in Sacramento, California sponsored by “We Stand With Seniors” was used to help set the tone for the 2019 legislative session and the need for a Master Plan for Aging.
Join us for a screening of the inspiring film and stay for a Q&A with filmmaker Sky Bergman hosted by Marc Middleton, Founder and CEO of Growing Bolder.
This program is presented by the Winter Park Health Foundation in partnership with Growing Bolder.
