This Series Runs: February 3, 2020 – April 6, 2020
If you’d love to create art, but you’re not sure how to get started, this is the program for you! Led by the team at Central Florida Community Arts, participants will create abstract art while listening to classical music and letting it influence the art. Each session will result in a unique piece of art. If one of your New Year goals is to be more creative, this is the perfect opportunity to tap into your artistic side, one you may not even know you possess! Join us for this special multidisciplinary experience. This is a once weekly event. All art materials are included in this program.
The program is presented by the Winter Park Health Foundation.
About CFC Arts
Since its beginnings in 2010, Central Florida Community Arts has been breaking barriers and opening doors for artists of every age and walk of life. In the past eight years, CFCArts has grown from a small for-profit choir to an over 2,000 member community arts nonprofit, whose mission is to serve and build community through the arts, by making the arts affordable and accessible to all. It now boasts the largest Community Choir in the United States according to Chorus America, a 160 member community Symphony Orchestra, a professional level Dance Company, a community theater program that showcases new and established works, Children & Youth vocal, instrumental, and musical theatre programs, and education based arts opportunities in the School of the Arts. It also supports several programs geared toward older adults, including the Musical Minds Choir, which is geared toward adults experiencing the early stages of memory loss, dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, along with their care partners, and Arts in Action, a collaborative program featuring classes in singing, acting, storytelling, dance, movement and instruments and sponsored by the Winter Park Health Foundation and Dr. Phillips Charities.
